Welcome

Welcome to Newlands Primary Academy.  I am delighted to be the founding Headteacher and look forward to welcoming our first cohort of children to the school in September 2025.

We have consulted with the local community and our school families to help create our vision and values.  We are grateful to those who have been able to contribute their views.

Our Vision

At Newlands Primary Academy, we are unwavering in our commitment to ensuring every child achieves highly. We believe that with the right support and high expectations, every child can thrive in our nurturing and ambitious environment. Our dedicated staff team works tirelessly to unlock each child’s capacity, providing the challenge, encouragement, and care needed for them to succeed in all they do. Through this, we aim to nurture not only academic excellence, but also strong character, confidence, and compassion, enabling our pupils to make a meaningful contribution to their community and the wider world.

We ‘SHINE’ at Newlands by living our values every day.

Values:

  • Safety — Make choices that keep yourself, others, and our environment safe.
  • Honesty — Be truthful and trustworthy in all you do.
  • Inclusion — Welcome and respect everyone and the world around us.
  • Nurture — Support each other to grow and care for our planet.
  • Effort — Work hard, show resilience, achieve highly, and take responsibility for our shared future.

Our Three School Rules

  1. Be Safe
Make choices that keep yourself, others, and our environment safe at all times.
  1. Be Respectful
Treat everyone kindly and fairly — be honest, inclusive, and nurture others and the world around you.
  1. Be Ready
Come to school prepared to learn — work hard, apply your best effort, show resilience, achieve highly and take care of our school and planet.

As a new school, this website is under construction.  If you are unable to find anything that you need, please contact us so that we can make sure you have all of the information that is helpful to you.

Kind regards,

Mrs Jennifer Thornton
