Morning Session 8.30am to 12.00pm 
Afternoon Session 1:00pm to 3.20pm

From 8:20 our gates open to the site for parents and carers to bring their children in and at 8:30 our doors open so we are ready to learn as soon as possible.

The register is taken at 8.40am. However, the children are encouraged to arrive at school from 8.30am for early morning learning. The children come into school via their classroom doors in EYFS.

Unless your child is attending wrap around care after school, they will leave via their classroom’s outside door at 3.20pm. You will need to let the office know if somebody other than the parent with parental responsibility is collecting your child.  

During their play times, they have access to a wide range of activities including accessing our climbing frames and trim trail, organised sports, art and free play.  We believe that it is important for the children to be able to 'play hard' to make sure that they can work hard when they are in class.  

JC Sports offer a breakfast club from 7.45am and an after wrap around care club until 6:00.  A charge applies for both these options.  Please visit our wraparound care page for further details.

Times of the school day

At Newlands Primary Academy, the school day officially starts at 8.40am for registration, but doors will open and children are welcome into the school from 8.30am

School ends at 3.20 pm

Total hours provided in a typical week is 33 hours and 20 minutes
