  • Personal Development

At Newlands Primary Academy, personal development is at the heart of our vision for every child. We are committed to helping pupils grow into confident, resilient, respectful and responsible young people who are well prepared for life beyond primary school.

Through our curriculum, assemblies, enrichment opportunities and wider school experiences, children develop important life skills, learn about themselves and others, and gain an understanding of the world around them. We promote positive relationships, emotional wellbeing, British Values, equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all children feel valued and respected.

Our pupils are encouraged to take on responsibilities, contribute to the school community and develop leadership skills through a range of opportunities. Educational visits, clubs, visitors and special events further enrich learning and help children discover new interests and talents.

We believe that successful learners are also confident individuals and responsible citizens. By nurturing character, wellbeing and aspirations alongside academic achievement, we support every child to thrive both now and in the future.
